This Deluxe Flemish Twist Bow String Making jig has the same dimensions as my original jig, but with following added features:

1. Accommodates bow strings with up to 22 total strands (11 strands per bundle)

2. Movable nock to nock bow length markers to compensate for how you individually typically twist your strings. Includes markers labeled from 37 to 75.

Save time and money by making your own Flemish twist bow strings with this Deluxe Flemish Twist Bowstring Making Jig.

You can use any string material you want (i.e. Dacron B50, B55, D97, etc.) to make bow strings for your traditional longbows and recurves with total nock to nock lengths (measured unstrung from string groove to string groove) from around 40 inches to 72 inches. This deluxe version includes moveable markers from 37 to 75 so the length markers can be customized to fit your individual style of twisting strings. This deluxe jig also accommodate strings with up to 22 strands (2 bundles of string with 11 strands in each bundle) for even the heaviest draw weight bows.

This jig takes the guesswork out of properly measuring and tapering the string lengths in each bundle required to make a flemish twist string to safely shoot your traditional bow. The completed string can be twisted/untwisted to adjust the exact bowstring length needed for proper brace height.

The jig comes in 3 main pieces (left, middle and right) that are easily press-fit together with dovetail joints. Also included are 3 large pegs, 24 small pegs (already inserted). No glue or tools required! Also included are thirty-nine movable numbered markers labeled from 37 to 75 (only seventeen are used). Once you have confirmed the measurements for your specific style, you can glue the appropriate markers to make them permanent.

Instructions included for assembly and use. The jig easily comes apart for storage or transport, or you can apply a little superglue to the dovetail joints and 2 stationary large pegs, for permanent assembly.

This jig is CAD designed and 3D printed by me in PETG for strength, heat tolerance and durability.
